Comcast Announces Grants for Small BIPOC Businesses

Comcast announces the Comcast RISE Investment Fund. Between October 1 and October 14, businesses in King and Pierce counties that have been in production for at least 3 years and who have less than 25 employees can apply for one of 100 $10,000 monetary grants to be awarded in late November.

About Comcast RISE:

Comcast RISE is part of a larger $100 million Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative the company launched in 2020. This program was created to invest in the success of small businesses owned by people of color, which have been some of the hardest hit by the pandemic, social unrest and environmental events.

Businesses that don’t qualify for the grants may qualify for the Marketing Services and Tech Makeover program which have broader eligibility and geographic reach. To date, Comcast Washington has awarded 76 businesses with RISE Marketing and Tech Makeovers.
