Budget Matters 2019

Join policymakers, advocates, community leaders, students, and other civic-minded Washingtonians at the Budget & Policy Center’s 2019 Budget Matters Policy Summit to discuss the racist impacts of our broken tax code – and how we can work together to advance bold policy solutions that will help address these systemic inequities. Tax policy and racial justice experts Michael Mitchell from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and Misha Hill from the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy will be featured speakers at the summit. More speakers will be announced soon!

We are thrilled to be hosting our event at the Northwest African American Museum this year. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and light breakfast and coffee will be served. The program will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Budget Matters attendees will also receive full-day access to all of the museum galleries. The Washington State Budget & Policy Center uses research and analysis to advance the well-being of Washington communities, improve the economic security and social opportunity of all in the state, and support the essential role of government in promoting a just and prosperous society. Learn more about our team, our impact, and how we keep equity at the forefront of our work. Register Here
